All music is written/recorded/mixed by Kristian Kvalvaag. Some tracks are improvised and others composed and recorded with a three-piece band. The album shows a mix of acoustic and electric sounds and from various guitars. March 2017 Kristian Kvalvaag released his third album "Quirky Urge". Spring 2015, Kristian moved back to Kolbotn, Norway.

Musicians on the album includes Torjus Vierli (Keys), Hildegunn Garness Reigstad (Perc), Andreas Ekstedt (Perc), Ian Martin (Bass) and Oscar Seaton (Drums). While Memoirs was mainly an acoustic guitar album, the 2nd album is more an electric guitar-focused album recorded in Kristian home studio in San Pedro and in Red Star Studio in LA. Early winter 2015 he released his 2nd album, “Bumper to Bumper”. In August 2014 he moved to Stockholm, Sweden. Memoirs consists of both improvised and fully composed tracks, which Kristian recorded between projects since 2010. In September 2013 Kristian released his first solo album “Memoirs”. In his humble Los Angeles based studio, he recorded guitar tracks for various producers and projects and was guest artist on composer Ola Gjeilo’s piece for choir, piano, string quartet and guitar, “The Lake Isle 1 & 2”. ​Īfter working as a studio and touring musician in the Norwegian music industry for about 10 years he moved to the Los Angeles area in 2010. Kristian is currently tracking guitars on various projects in his guitar-packed home studio. He is a member of the Oslo-based band Blikkenslag and Professor Nilsen. His guitars can also be heard on film scores, commercials, jingles and on Norwegian tv-shows like IDOL and “Hver Gang Vi Møtes”. He has played various guitars and stringed instruments with a selection of Norwegian and Swedish musicians and artists: Alan Walker, D´sound, Sigvart Dagsland, Bertine Zetlitz, Anja Garbarek, Helene Bøksle, Vintermåne, Oslo Gospel Choir, Garness, Ole Paus, Finn Kalvik, Carola, Lill Lindfors, Christel Alsos, Rita Eriksen, Tone Damli Aaberge, Kurt Nilsen, Ingebjørg Bratland, Maria Mena, Ola Gjeilo, Julie Dahle Ågaard, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Stein Torleif Bjella, Tom Roger Aadland and Trond Viggo Torgersen. Kristian is a Norwegian guitarplayer/producer.
